Goldcrest is a brilliant, reliable home service that really catered for my needs and fitted around my timetable! My car was quickly assesed, I didn’t have to wait longfor the part to come through and both Nick and Stuart were incredibly friendly! All at a good price too! Will definately be making them my regular mechanics and recommending them to anyone that i know that needs one.

Winter Safety Checks.

With winter just around the corner now is the time to make sure your car’s ready for the cold weather we will undoubtedly have the pleasure of this winter.
Whilst I would always recommend having Goldcrest give your car the once over ( Winter safety check only £15 ) there are a few things you can do that will help you and your car in the coming months.

First and most importantly check your tyre pressures and tyre condition. This really is essential through the winter and is good practice to check once a week all year round.
Second, check that you have screen wash in your washer bottle, this will stop your washer water freezing as screern wash contains anti freeeze. Most car parts or supermarkets sell 5 litres for around £5.
Third, check your wiper blades, worn wiper blades can stratch windscreens which could result in windscreen replacement (ouch!)
Fourth, If possible check your battery, you really need specialist equipment to do this, but a visual check can give you some idea if your battery is going to last you the winter.
Fifth, Check the level of anti freeze in your car and top up if neccesary, again a specialist tool is needed for this so this one might be a bit difficult, I think you can buy them for around £5.

Checking all the above should only take ten to fifteen minutes but could save you a fortune!

Alternatively Goldcrest will perform all of the above checks using suitable equipment for you for only £15- I know what i’d do!
