Our mechanics serviced a Ford Focus today, didn’t report any problems or items that needed attention. The car was fully serviced, put in the valeting bay, washed and vaced, invoices and check lists all prepaired ready for delivery back to customer. All good.Or so we thought!
Jim our delivery driver was driving the car back to the customer when all of a sudden all the cars dash lights illuminated and the car nearly stalled.Jim obviously pulled over straight away and called the office for assistance, after explaining the problem to the mechanics in the workshop we decided to bring the car back to the garage for further investigation. On arrival back at the workshop Mark, our master technician took over and within five minutes all became clear.
Jim had told Mark that the car was having problems when it was going over speed bumps.Mark immediately found the problem. The main electrical supply to the starter motor and alternator was at fault.(You really would of have to be looking very hard to find this fault in a service!)
The problem was solved at minimum cost and disruption to the cutomer thanks to Marks expertise.
